What you can expect:

Preparing for your shoot:

The most nerve racking thing about the shoot is walking in the door. I promise. Once you get here you don't have to worry about a thing.

Your consultation phone call:

No two human beings are the same, and no two photoshoots will be the same either. Your photoshoot will be designed especially to your taste. When you book in I'll ask you to tell me a little bit about your favourite colours or if you love black and white. We'll talk a bit about how you see yourself and we may start to exchange moodboards and ideas in the weeks and months running up to your shoot. If you have lots of ideas or if you don't really know what you want we'll still create something unique to you. We can also decide on a location for the shoot- A boutique hotel, a studio, the beach etc...

WARDROBE:

You'll need to bring some outfits with you. During your consultation we'll talk through options. You can bring anything you want along- And you also can dip into Susie's dreamy wardrobe too.

HAIR & MAKEUP

When you arrive on shoot day, the first thing we will do is go through your outfits over a cup of tea or coffee and get to know each other a bit. Together we'll talk about hair and makeup before getting started on creating your look. You don't need to worry about doing your own makeup-Susie or one of her makeup artists will do your makeup and hair to create a look that will go with all your outfits.

 POSING

You can relax because I'm an expert at coaching people how to pose. In fact, it's one of my favourite parts of my job! I won't expect you to know how to stand and hold yourself and will work hard to get you relaxed and to get lovely natural expressions from you. I will be shooting one-on-one with you from start to finish, and will give you lots of feedback and direction all the way through the session so you feel comfortable and confident and will focus on accentuating your best features and making the most of your shape and natural curves.

TRUST THE PROCESS

I have been capturing intimate boudoir photography portraits of people for over 24 years say nearly all of them were full of nerves when they walk through the door on the day of their shoot. 

It is completely natural to feel butterflies when you do something for the first time and I think that is one of the reasons it is so empowering. It is a big leap of faith to push yourself to do things you're curious about but have never done before. But it is so worth it.

I'm really patient and will give you loads of help with what to wear and how to pose and be with you holding your hand all through the process doing my best to make the experience as much fun and memorable as it can be.
